Křešín: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Křešín lies at an altitude of 448 metres at the northern foot of the Brdy ridges, in a forested area belonging to the military forests. A defining natural area is the Na horách Natural Monument in the Křešín cadastral area. It is a category IV protected area, a managed reserve protecting a phytogeographically significant, extensive and highly species-rich locality. Its flora includes the pasqueflower (Pulsatilla pratensis), the green-winged orchid (Orchis morio), the common juniper (Juniperus communis) and other local plant species.
Nature and landscape
Křešín offers good views of the Litavka valley and the Brdy peaks. The educational trail Z Jinec na Olymp Brd also passes through the Na Horách area. The landscape around Křešín is suitable for relaxation, while the forests surrounding the village are considered a good area for mushroom picking.
Culture
The Chapel of the Immaculate Virgin Mary was built in 1855. In spring, May devotions are held at the chapel.
Walking and cycling routes
The Fabiánova educational trail passes through Křešín and introduces tourists and cyclists to the local sights and the scenic beauty of the Podbrdsko region. For cyclists, the moderately difficult, signposted cycle route 302 runs through Křešín from Dolní Líšnice to Hořovice. It is suitable for mountain bikes and trekking bikes.
The circular route Velký Jinecký okruh also runs from Jince via Křešín along cycle route 302 towards Felbabka.
Getting there
Křešín can be reached via a class III road. The Hořovice–Příbram bus route serves the village.
