Jevany: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Jevanský rybník is the largest local body of water in Jevany and covers 17.62 ha. In summer, it is used for recreation; swimming is possible there on an informal basis, with grassy banks and a sandy entry into the water.

Rowing boats, canoes, surfboards, pedal boats and paddleboards can once again be seen on Jevanský rybník.

Nature and landscape

The cadastral area of Jevany includes part of the Voděradské bučiny Nature Reserve. It is designated as a national nature reserve; its purpose is to protect an extensive beech forest.

The Šáchovec locality comprises a wet sedge meadow with tussocks as well as submerged aquatic vegetation. Šáchovec can be reached via the red-marked hiking trail from Kostelec nad Černými lesy to Senohraby.

Culture and history

Aldašín lies in the cadastral area of Jevany and is an important archaeological site. Remains of settlement structures, other elements of the former settlement area and traces of vanished medieval roads have been preserved there.

The church dedicated to Saint George has been preserved in Aldašín to this day; the tower of this church was rebuilt in 1771.

The bell tower in the center of Jevany was built in 1897 and is considered one of the symbols of the town.
