Odolena Voda: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The special features of Odolena Voda can be explored through three themes: local history, nature and trails. Specific buildings, dry grasslands, acidophilous vegetation and bodies of water each give the town its own distinctive character.
Culture and History
The Baroque Church of Saint Clement was built by the Jesuit order between 1732 and 1735 on the site of an older church. It contains expressive paintings by the Jesuit Jan Kuben and is registered in Odolena Voda as an immovable cultural monument.
The Renaissance fortress of Odolena Voda was converted into a Baroque château. The château preserves Renaissance vaults and Baroque furnishings. Hálkovna is the house where Vítězslav Hálek was born on 5 April 1835. In the Dolínek district, the birthplace of the Czech poet and prose writer Vítězslav Hálek houses an exhibition featuring documents and visual material about his life and work.
The Marian Column, dating from 1706, stands in the town square. Around 200 gravestones have been preserved in the Jewish cemetery.
Nature and Bodies of Water
The Vršky pod Špičákem Nature Reserve protects extensive valuable dry grasslands as well as acidophilous vegetation consisting of succulents and ephemerals. Dry grassland vegetation grows on the former volcanic hill of Čenkov, providing refuge for numerous protected and endangered plant and animal species. In Malý háj, visitors can follow the Dřeviny Malého háje educational trail.
The Korycanský potok and the Čenkovské rybníky comprise a system of three ponds; the stream rises in the Dolínek area. Jordán is a natural bathing area at a shallow pond with a reinforced dam.
Trails and Activities
Odolena Voda has a 4.95-kilometre circular trail around Vodolka. A 25-kilometre white-marked cycle route begins at Horní náměstí in Odolena Voda. Fajglovka is a combined walking and cycling path between the Aero Vodochody area and Odolena Voda.
