Ladvi: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Above the settlement of Ládví stands the Rozhledna Ládví lookout tower. It was built in 2011 on the 488-metre-high Vlková summit.

Nature and Trails

The Rozhledna Ládví lookout tower can be reached by car, bicycle and on foot via the blue-marked hiking trail from Ládví. The tower is 45 metres high; its observation platform is 25 metres above the ground and can be reached via 150 steps.

Cycle route 0029 also passes through the surrounding area: it runs from Strančice via Velké Popovice and Kamenice to Nová Grybla. Along the way, it uses paved forest paths, local roads and roads with light traffic.

Landscape

Several named hills are located in the immediate vicinity of Ládví: Milíř Hill [Velké Popovice-Lojovice], Lipový vrch Hill [Pyšely], Grybla Hill [Krhanice] and the hill (Na Padesátce) [Petříkov u Velkých Popovic].

Culture and History

The local heritage landscape includes various memorial sites. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Ládví is listed as an immovable cultural monument under catalogue number 06244. The monument to those who fell in the First World War in Kamenice-Ládví stands in a small park on the main road. The chapel in Ládví is listed as an object of heritage conservation interest.

Ládví is also connected with the history of the operation “Zámky na záchranu židovských dětí z koncentračních táborů und später deutscher Kinder aus tschechischen Internierungslagern”, which was carried out between 1945 and 1947. Later, Penzion Bellevue in Ládví was also involved. A total of 810 children passed through these facilities.
