The present appearance of Štiřín Chateau dates back to Baroque and Neo-Baroque alterations.
Culture and History
Between 1892 and 1910, Štiřín Chateau was restored and redesigned according to plans by the architect Jiří Stibral. The north wing and entrance area were remodelled, and electric lighting was installed. The grounds of Štiřín Chateau are protected as an immovable cultural monument.
Park and Springs
The Štiřín chateau park is an important work of landscape and garden art. The landscape surrounding Štiřín Chateau is structured by vistas and views towards the chateau, as well as from the chateau onto composed landscape scenes.
The Štiřínské studánky comprise a large cascade of ponds as well as several springs and wells in the spring area of the nearby Pod stodůlkou forest. In the past, the Štiřínské studánky supplied Štiřín Chateau and the former chateau brewery with water. They can be reached via a forest path along the western edge of Štiřínský rybník.
The golf course in Štiřín is closed.
