Nová Ves: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

In the center of Nová Ves stands the Chapel of Saints Peter and Paul. It was consecrated on June 29, 1934.

Culture and history

The village landscape also includes a small bell tower on the village green dating from 1934, as well as two cast-iron crosses. One stands on a concrete pedestal at the intersection of the roads to Mratín and Jiřice. A second, identical cast-iron cross is located on the outskirts of Nová Ves along the road to Měšice.

During the construction of the road toward Mratín, finds from the Late Eneolithic period were discovered in the second half of the 1920s. The Easter rattle procession takes place from Maundy Thursday to Holy Saturday. During the traditional Easter rattling, compliance with established rules is supervised by leaders known as “Páni”.
