Culture and Townscape

The church of Nuestra Señora de la Concepción was built using fragments of the Romanesque cornice from the Ermita de San Juan in the abandoned village of Pajares. A local tradition is the „remate“, which takes place every second weekend in November after the procession of the Virgen de los Remedios. Sweets made by local residents are offered to the Virgin and then auctioned.
