History
The exact identity of Castell de Mont-ros has not been established. However, Paüls and Pobellà are closely associated with the neighboring Mont-ros castle.
In 1072, Ramon V. agreed to leave Paüls and Pobellà to his cousin Artau I. as an allod. Around 1117, Count Bernat Ramon I. de Pallars Jussà transferred Paüls and Pobellà to his vassal Pelet.
The historical transfer of Paüls and Pobellà thus appears in two chronologically defined steps: 1072 concerns the agreement between Ramon V. and his cousin Artau I.; around 1117, the transfer by Count Bernat Ramon I. de Pallars Jussà to his vassal Pelet followed. At the same time, the identity of Castell de Mont-ros remains unclear.
