Literature and Verdaguer Routes
The Casa Museu Verdaguer was the childhood family home of the poet Jacint Verdaguer and presents a permanent exhibition on his biography and work. It is one of Catalonia's oldest literary museums, has a history spanning more than 50 years and is the starting point for the Verdaguer Routes through Folgueroles, the city of Vic and the Guilleries-Savassona nature area.

The Camins de Verdaguer are a short, comfortable walk with a low level of difficulty; one section has uneven steps made of stone and earth, and the elevation gain is almost 50 metres. Sant Jordi de Puigseslloses is a comfortable, flat 2-kilometre walk that can be completed in just over an hour.
The Camí Oliba passes through Folgueroles; the town lies on the route's second section between Vic and Sant Joan de les Abadesses. The two stages associated with the town are Vic–Folgueroles, at 10.7 kilometres, and Folgueroles–Sant Pere de Casserres, at 11.5 kilometres. The Ruta dels Rellotges de Sol is a circular route through Folgueroles that visits nearly thirty sundials and starts at Plaça Verdaguer.
Landscape and Nature Area
The Sant Llorenç del Munt route passes through pine, oak and holm oak forests and climbs to high rocky cliffs with panoramic views. The Ermita de la Damunt stands on elevated ground in the municipality and offers views of Montseny, the Pyrenees and the Plana de Vic.
The Guilleries-Savassona nature area includes, among others, Folgueroles, Sant Julià de Vilatorta, Tavèrnoles, Vilanova de Sau and Sant Sadurní d'Osormort; these municipalities are represented on the administrative consortium. An 8,370-hectare area in Folgueroles, Sant Julià de Vilatorta, Tavèrnoles and Vilanova de Sau is governed by the Savassona Protection and Improvement Plan approved in 2004.
Historical Heritage in Folgueroles
The Dolmen del pla del Bronze o del Camell is a megalithic tomb that was probably used from the Neolithic period to the Bronze Age, between the 4th and 2nd millennia BC. The Dolmen of Puigseslloses is considered one of the finest examples of a megalithic tomb in Catalonia. The church of Santa Maria de Folgueroles has been documented since 967. The chapel of Sant Jordi de Puigseslloses was built in 1477 and renovated and enlarged in 1883; Jacint Verdaguer celebrated his first mass there in 1870.
The Casol de Puigcastellet was used for just over 50 years between 250 and 200 BC, during the conflict-ridden period of the Roman conquest. The defensive fortification has a straight wall, an attached central tower and eleven interior walls. The Font del Desmai became a natural meeting place for so-called Esbartades, where poems were recited and discussed; they became a centre of the literary revival known as the Renaixença.
