Views and Trails
From the Mirador de Taoro, you can look out over the La Resbala protected natural area and the Valle de la Orotava. The Mirador de Cumbres del Norte, or Chipeque, offers views of the Valle de la Orotava and Mount Teide. From the Paseo Miguel de Cervantes, you can observe the cliffs of the Acentejo coast on the edge of the Orotava Valley and various seabirds.
The Sendero de La Mancha is a paved footpath with panoramic views of the entire coast of La Orotava. Cala de Santa Ana is a small cove with clear water and a rocky seabed; access is via a steep path leading down to it. TITSA bus route 380 runs to La Corujera or, at certain times, continues to Pino Alto; from there, you can continue on foot to the Mirador de La Atalaya. TITSA bus route 101 connects La Orotava and San Cristóbal de La Laguna and serves the El Calvario district at stops 4016 and 4217.
Culture and Local History
The Iglesia de Santa Úrsula, Virgen y Mártir, was built in 1612 and gave the town its name. The church and its associated movable cultural heritage were declared an asset of cultural interest in 2006. La Casa de La Portuguesa, in the municipality of Santa Úrsula on Tenerife, has been declared an asset of cultural interest.
The Casona de San Luis is a building in traditional Canarian architecture dating from the first half of the 17th century. It serves as a municipal cultural space where cultural, musical and theatrical activities take place. Its facilities host exhibitions, activities, conferences and other events.
The Romería de la Corujera began in 1997 and continues to be celebrated in La Corujera. A chapel in La Corujera was built in 1705 and opened for worship in 1713. The Fiestas in honour of San Luis Rey de Francia took place in August 2026 in the area around the El Calvario district.
