The Palacio de la Espriella is an important part of Villahormes’ cultural heritage and is listed as protected cultural heritage in the BIC register of the Principality of Asturias; it was published on 9 July 1985. The Palacio de la Espriella complex consists of a manor house and an attached chapel. The palace was built in the 17th century and remodelled in the 18th century and at the end of the 19th century. It was commissioned by Domingo de la Espriella, who is described as an inquisitor of Palermo. The name, the architecture and the changes over time offer different interpretations of the same place.
