Andrín: Coast, Views and Architectural Heritage

The viewpoint thus combines views of two beaches with a broader horizon and their setting within a protected landscape.

This results in clearly recognisable focal points for different ways of spending the day: at the beach, the sand, pebbles and water conditions take centre stage, while at the viewpoint, the two coastal stretches and the distant views are the main attractions. Culture

The Torre de Tronquedo in Andrín has been declared a monument and an Asset of Cultural Interest (Bien de Interés Cultural). It is regarded as a typical rural lordly tower complex; its construction follows a model that was widespread in Asturias during the Late Middle Ages. Based on the formal characteristics of the building, its origins appear to date back to the 15th century, although they are not documented.

The architectural heritage also includes the parish church of San Juan Bautista de Andrín, which is listed as part of Asturias’s architectural heritage and dates from 1895.
