Culture and History
The Torre de Valledor is located in the parish of Valledor in Allande and is listed in the Register of Cultural Heritage Assets of Special Interest of the Principality of Asturias. In San Martín del Valledor, it forms an architectural complex of four buildings. The building is privately owned and cannot be visited inside; however, its silhouette can be seen from the surrounding landscape.
San Emiliano is a medieval village and a historic-artistic ensemble of scenic interest. Santa María de Celón preserves a Romanesque structure with 16th-century wall paintings. The Monument to the Asturian Emigrant in Pola de Allande was relocated there from Puerto Rico.
The Castro de San Chuis was settled from the 8th century BC and acquired successive fortification walls. Roman activity there has been associated with intensive gold mining since the middle of the 1st century AD.
The Ruta Etnográfica provides an opportunity to discover some of Allande’s best-preserved villages. Allande Stars conveys rural heritage through astronomy and offers innovative, educational activities related to science and heritage. The Día del Emigrante had been celebrated in Allande for years and was set for the last Saturday in July.

Nature
The Alcornocal de Boxo is a cork oak forest that the municipality describes as unique in Asturias. The Teixo de Lago is designated a natural monument. The Teixo de Bustantigo is a thousand-year-old yew associated with the tradition of the yew as a sacred tree of the Celts.
The Sierra de Carondio can be explored on foot; in clear weather, the view extends as far as the Cantabrian Sea.
Paths and Routes
The easy route to Pico Panchón begins at Puerto del Palo and is 4.81 km long. It reaches the highest point in Allande and offers extensive views of mountains and valleys.
On the Camino Primitivo, the stretch between Pola de Allande and Alto del Palo is approximately eight kilometres long, with an elevation gain of around 600 metres.
