Coast and Landscape
The entire coast of Ribadedeva belongs to the Protected Landscape Area of the Eastern Coast. La Franca is a 260-metre-long beach with golden sand, moderate waves and facilities for visitors. La Franca also has three access ramps, an accessible toilet and shower, paths and three accessible parking spaces. At low tide, La Franca is connected to the coves of El Oso, El Viveru and Regorgueru.
History and Culture
The Cueva de El Pindal has a longitudinal gallery approximately 600 metres long, of which the first 300 metres are open to visitors. The Magdalenian-period ensemble includes depictions of deer, horses and bison; a fish and a mammoth are also particularly noteworthy.
The ruins of Santa María de Tina belong to a 13th-century Cistercian temple. A footpath leads to them, beginning near the chapel of San Emeterio and the caves of El Pindal.
Colombres was named Pueblo Ejemplar de Asturias in 2015. The Ruta de la Huella Indiana runs through the town's streets, a walk with explanatory texts beside significant architectural features. Numerous manor houses and palaces there commemorate the heritage of the Indianos.
The Fundación Archivo de Indianos-Museo de la Emigración museum in Quinta Guadalupe is located in the vicinity of Ribadedeva and is dedicated to the history of Asturian emigration to America.
The Feria de Indianos takes place every year in July in Colombres, the main town of Ribadedeva. It combines cultural, gastronomic and entertaining events focusing on the heritage of the Indianos.
Ribadedeva's cuisine also combines products from livestock farming with produce from the sea and rivers. These include Pote de berzas, Fabada, fish, eels and seafood.

The Camino de Santiago crosses the bridge over the River Deva at Bustio into Asturias. For coastal walks, the Ruta de los Acantilados de Pimiango is available: it is 7.51 kilometres long, easy and circular, and begins and ends at the Centro de Interpretación de San Emeterio and the Cueva de El Pindal.
A low-difficulty cycle route connects Bustio in Ribadedeva with Ribadesella. The cycling route from Colombres to Ribadesella is suitable for people who prefer gravel tracks.
