Pesoz: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Geographical location
Pesoz is situated on a hill above the confluence of the Agüeira and d’Ahío rivers. The town can be reached via the AS-12 from Navia or Grandas de Salime, or via the AS-13 from Los Oscos and Vegadeo.

Landscape and trails
The PR-AS 117 follows the Agüeira River through dense chestnut and pine forests. The route is 8.12 kilometres long, is designed as a circular route, and starts and ends in Pesoz.
The PR-AS 169 connects Pesoz with the former settlement of A Paicega, which was built to accommodate the workers of the Salime dam. It is designated as an easy route with a length of 7.82 kilometres. In A Paicega, barracks converted into apartments and the remains of a cableway have been preserved.
The viewpoint at A Paicega offers views over a large part of the middle course of the Navia River.
Culture and history
In Argul, the Capilla de San Antonio in the centre of the village has a Baroque altarpiece. In the same village, the Casa del Escultor is considered the birthplace of Juan Alonso Villabrille y Ron.
The Palacio de Ron consists of four wings arranged around a central courtyard. The remains of a defensive tower known as Castillo de Pesoz have been preserved on its grounds.
The Casa de Vilar contains a tunnel approximately 20 metres long.
The Iglesia de Santiago dates back to the Romanesque period, probably the 13th century, and preserves several Baroque works from the 18th century.
Wine and museums
The interpretation centre of the Museo Etnológico de Pesoz covers viticulture, winemaking, distillation and grape varieties. The Fiesta del Vino de Pesoz takes place every year in October and offers visitors wine tastings.
The Museo Etnográfico de Grandas de Salime is located in the area around Pesoz. Castro Chao Samartín, which is registered as an archaeological site, is also located in the area around Pesoz.
In the wider regional area around Pesoz are the Centro de Recepción de Visitantes Alejandro Casona and the Museo del Telar; both are registered as museums.
