Culture

Several defensive ditches run along the southern edge of the Castro de San Chuis. By Decree 48/2014 of 14 May 2014, the Castro de San Chuis was designated an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) and an archaeological zone.

The site is surrounded by double ramparts with a ditch and a wall up to two metres wide. Inside the Castro de San Chuis are several circular structures typical of settlements from the 1st and 2nd centuries AD.

Access to the Castro de San Chuis is via the ALL-2 as far as the turn-off to Celón, continuing to San Martín de Beduledo and, from the entrance to the village, along a forest track to the foot of the Castro.
