Nature and Trails

The SL-TE 29 Barranco Cueva Muñoz tourist trail begins at the Masía de los Barrancos in Ejulve and ends where the ravine meets the Guadalope River near Villarluengo.

The route to the mills on the Guadalopillo begins at the recreation area beside the Guadalopillo River in the lower part of Ejulve and follows the GR-8.1 towards Molinos.

The easy PR-TE 91 hiking trail connects Ejulve with the narrow Caleja del Huergo gorge in the upper reaches of the Barranco de Santa Lucía. There, the trail passes through a shady, lushly vegetated area with several pools.

Culture and History

Casa La Reina is a traditional house in Ejulve that was converted into an ethnological museum featuring objects donated by residents of Ejulve.

The Church of Santa María la Mayor in Ejulve dates from the 16th century and was built in the Gothic Renaissance style.

Its tower dates from the 14th or 15th century and may have been built by the Order of Calatrava as a defensive structure to protect the residents and monks.

The tower of the Church of Santa María la Mayor is also included in the list of castles classified as Cultural Heritage Assets of Special Interest (Bienes de Interés Cultural).

Landscape and Wildlife Watching

Masías de Ejulve is a 2,000-hectare area within the municipality of Ejulve.

The Órganos de Montoro Natural Monument is home to numerous rock-dwelling bird populations, including especially large numbers of griffon vultures.

The Órganos de Montoro can be viewed from the road between Ejulve and Villarluengo at the Collado de Casa Mazuelos. Information panels there explain how these impressive rock formations were created.

The Cueva del Recuenco is suitable as a place to get started with caving. Visits there were planned through members of a relevant association or via an active-tourism company.
