Breginj – Mountain Landscape, Trails and Culture

History

The Stol 1915–1917 War Collection mainly displays objects from Stol that document the events at this section of the front. The ethnological-military collection in Breginj includes a reconstructed hearth with all the objects belonging to the kitchen. It also displays remnants of weapons and personal belongings of soldiers who fought on the Soča Front. Thus, in the collections, Mount Stol, the everyday equipment of a kitchen and the personal belongings left behind by soldiers each represent a distinct historical perspective.
