The Paleolithic archaeological site of Trenčianske Bohuslavice is located on a low loess terrace above the Bošáčka stream, at the site of a former brickworks. Archaeological investigations documented a dwelling hut with a posthole and hearth. During the Upper Paleolithic, a mammoth hunter lived at the site; the tools are attributed to the Gravettian and dated to the period from 32,000 to 23,000 BC.

Another historical find dates from the Bronze Age: a hoard was discovered below Turecko in Trenčianske Bohuslavice in 1904. The Bronze Age find comprised 95 pieces with a total weight of 4.88 kilograms. This means that archaeological evidence from very different periods can be found side by side at this location.

The chapel “Kaplnka Nepoškvrneného počatia Panny Márie” is part of the later architectural and artistic history. It was built between 1760 and 1763 as part of a manor house and features Rococo frescoes by Franz Anton Maulbertsch dating from 1763.

Nature and surroundings

To the north of Trenčianske Bohuslavice, the southern slopes of the Hájnica highland form the nature reserve of the same name.
