The Catholic Church was originally built in the 15th century in the Gothic style. The present Catholic Church is Neo-Romanesque and was consecrated in 1912. Only part of the tower's surrounding wall remains from the original Catholic Church.

In August 1998, there were two weeks to go until the celebration of the municipality's 600th anniversary.

Nature

Most of the area of Moravské Lieskové lies within the Biele Karpaty Protected Landscape Area. Several orchid species grow in the flower-rich meadows above the Šance settlement. Large populations of the grass-leaved iris (Iris graminea) and the rare adder's-tongue fern (Ophioglossum vulgatum) also grow there.
