Culture

The Schwarzenberg Chapel in Kelberg was built in 1719 on the 562 m-high Schwarzenberg. Its altar features a central Pietà flanked by Saints Aloysius and Augustine. Kelberg is also home to St. Vincent’s Parish Church, with a preserved west tower dating from 1250.

Getting Around

The Kelberg History Trail is a 13 km-long hiking route with 15 information boards on basalt columns. It begins at Kelberg’s market square. The “Volcanoes, Water and Knowledge” circular route on the History Trail is 5 km long and has six History Trail stations.

The Kelberg Forest Adventure Landscape is suitable for the whole family and for pushchairs. The interactive stations include a forest-animal jumping challenge and a spider-web climbing element. Around Kelberg, cycle paths of varying difficulty combine nature experiences with regional history.
