Nature

Kindenheim is sheltered by the upland plateaus of Kahlenberg and Gerstenberg. The Kindenheim Steinlöcher on the Gerstenberg are up to ten metres deep and are remnants of 19th-century limestone quarrying; they are designated as a nature reserve. The Kindenheim Steinlöcher are home to calcareous grassland flora, including wood anemones; the Amazon ant is also found there.

Culture

The Käskuche hiking trail passes the former northern village fortifications, the large Jewish cemetery and the vineyard house. The Jewish cemetery contains gravestones from the 17th and 18th centuries; the former village fortifications are still visible as an oval, outlined by narrow ditch paths and sections of wall.

St Martin's Church was rebuilt around 1509 and acquired its Baroque appearance through alterations carried out between 1729 and 1734.
