Wesendorf Lake is located in the Bültenmoor nature area. The landscape around the lake includes old pedunculate oaks, alder swamp forest, the Märchenwiese meadow and heathland. The Wesendorf German Natural Heritage Area is situated between K7 and B4 on a former military training site. Rare flora and fauna can be found there, including dry grasses and insects.
