The Wahrenholz watermill is a protected monument. Its preserved mill machinery inside shows how the miller worked. The mill remained in operation until 1987 and produced flour as well as animal feed.
It is a fully functioning historic mill; visitors can follow the process from grain to flour across four floors. A guided tour of the watermill can be booked and lasts approximately 45 minutes. Visits to the watermill are arranged by telephone and take place with a guide.
The Wahrenholz watermill is the northernmost point of a regional mill cycling tour.
