In Isenbüttel, evidence of the town’s history meets the landscape surrounding Lake Tankum. St. Mary’s Church has a 42.6-metre-high tower.
The von Campe Mausoleum was restored by the municipality after it had passed into local ownership. The mausoleum of the von Campe family has been preserved on Mausoleumsweg in Isenbüttel. The Tweete is an alley in Isenbüttel reserved exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists; renovated half-timbered houses stand on both sides. Finds from the stone oven on Triftweg are documented at the Gifhorn Local History Museum.
The Tankumsee Adventure World is located in the Südheide within the Isenbüttel collective municipality. Lake Tankum lies amid water protection areas, bird sanctuaries and the heathland of the Südheide. The lake was created in 1972 during the construction of the Elbe Lateral Canal. The Tankumsee Adventure Tower has 36 climbing stations on three levels. It includes a FlyingFox zip line that crosses 400 metres over the lake. The adventure tower also includes a low ropes course with nine stations for children between 1 and 1.40 metres tall.
Visitors can use sanitary facilities and changing rooms at Lake Tankum. The Seekate offers selected food and drinks in its restaurant and on a large terrace. The kiosk sells ice cream, snacks and other drinks.
