The historic settlement form of Bokensdorf is a Wendish round village, which can be reconstructed in the old village on Bauernberg. The twelve house numbers on Bauernberg document a village structure that is almost 500 years old: it includes nine large and two smaller Brincksitzer farms, a school, and an inn.
