The area of Bédoin includes the summit of Mont Ventoux, which is 1,908 metres high. The long-distance hiking trails GR 91 and GR 4 cross Mont Ventoux; GR 91 therefore runs over Mont Ventoux.

Landscape
The southern side of Mont Ventoux is suitable for cycling, mountain biking, hiking, trail running and climbing. It is designated as a Natura 2000 site. Colline Saint Antonin offers an exceptional view of the entire village of Bédoin and the entire southern side of Mont Ventoux.
Colline Saint Antonin is one of the oldest places in this area to have been settled and developed by humans.
The “Montée sèche” trail offers a 360-degree view of the Rhône delta, the Alpilles, the Luberon, the Monts de Vaucluse, the Plateau de Sault and Lure, the Alps and the Dentelles de Montmirail. The “Grand Ventoux” trail also offers a 360-degree view.
The family cycling route “Aux portes du Ventoux” passes through vineyards and orchards, as well as through the ochre-coloured villages of Bédoin and Flassan with their colourful houses. It is 22.4 kilometres long and begins in Bédoin; at that time, its signage was still being installed.
Getting around
Combe Obscure is located on the GR 91 and offers numerous hiking opportunities. At the same time, it has considerable potential for climbing routes of all levels. The “Gros Pata” trail begins in Bédoin, is 15 kilometres long and has an elevation gain of 530 metres.
The “Collet rouge” trail passes through the Combe de Malaval and by caves that were used by people at various times. The “Montée / Descente” trail passes between caves on the descent.
History
Bédoin was destroyed in 1794 and rehabilitated a year later. The most significant surviving fortification remains are located in the area of the former Portail Catheron.
The Chapelle de Bécarras was built at the burial site of the victims who had been executed in Bédoin on 28 May 1794.
Culture
The Chapelle de la Madeleine on the road to Malaucène was built in the 11th century and is the oldest building in the village.
The village of Bédoin can be explored independently along information panels. Guided tours of Bédoin are offered by CoVe’s Department of Culture and Heritage.
The Église Saint-Pierre was built between 1708 and 1736, consecrated in 1760 and is listed in the inventory of historic monuments.
