The Butte de Blou rises to 109 metres above sea level and is considered the highest point in the region. It offers panoramic views over the Loire Valley.
Large quantities of white tuff stone have been quarried on the Butte de Blou since ancient times. Valued for its whiteness and quality, the stone was widely used to build buildings in the surrounding area. The numerous galleries created there were used in the last century to grow Paris mushrooms. In clear weather, the towers of Angers Cathedral can be seen 45 km away.

Notre-Dame de Blou is a Romanesque church dating from the 12th century and belongs to the “Eglises Accueillantes” network.

The “Entre Blou et Neuillé” hiking trail is 16 kilometres long. This circular route passes through forests and vegetable-growing areas in the municipalities of Blou and Neuillé. The circular route offers the opportunity to discover châteaux and washhouses.
