Chazé-sur-Argos can be explored through its historic buildings. The Château du Raguin dates from the late 16th century, was decorated in the 17th century and restored at the beginning of the 20th century; the west wing was built in 1909. It is considered the cradle of the Du Bellay family for the period from 1585 to 1667. The façades and roofs of the château and outbuildings, the entrance portal and the archaeological area known at the time are protected. The two chambers, together with their 17th-century furnishings, were classified under the relevant decrees of 1992 and 1994.

Culture and history
The Chapelle de la Croix-Marie was consecrated in 1640; the year 1672 is inscribed on its west gable. After a statue of the Virgin Mary blessed by Henri Arnaud, Bishop of Angers, was installed, pilgrimages began to take place there. Local residents financed the construction of the chapel. Its interior furnishings date from the 18th century, while the two stained-glass windows date from 1890.
The Priory of Saint-Julien was founded in the 11th century by the Benedictine Abbey of Saint-Serge d’Angers. Around the 13th century, it passed to the abbey of the Canons Regular of Saint-Georges-sur-Loire; the present building dates from the first half of the 18th century. The Church of Saint-Julien dates from the 12th century and was remodelled in the 19th century by adding side aisles to the nave and altering the transept. Bell No. 2 of the church was cast in 1802 or 1803; since 14 November 1995, it has been listed as a protected cultural object and was restored in 2023.
The Château des Peltrais was built in the second half of the 19th century for Camille Parage. Its chapel dates from 1850, and the outbuildings from 1856. The residence was completely rebuilt in 1869 in a style combining influences from Louis XIII and the Renaissance.
Waterway and connection
The Argos, a small watercourse, crosses Chazé-sur-Argos and runs through the town centre. The town can be reached via the Départementale 73, which connects Vern d’Anjou and Loiré.

The historic site of the Abbaye de Pontron is located near Chazé-sur-Argos. In the wider regional area are the Ancien couvent de la Baumette monastery, the Abbayé du Ronceray monastery and the Église de la Trinité church.
