Champtoceaux: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Champtoceaux, two themed interpretation trails – a medieval trail leading through the ruins of the former citadel and a trail focusing on myths and legends – lead to the ruins of the citadel and the Loire.

Every year from April to September, five exhibitions are scheduled at the Champtoceaux tourist office. The Moulin Pendu is a listed historic monument dating from the 13th century. La Patache was formerly a village of boatmen and fishermen.

On Île Bridon in Champtoceaux, the Baludik adventure trail En’Quête de plantes invites visitors to record and identify plants along the banks of the Loire. Water

The La Luce excursion boat offers a 1.5-hour, commentary-provided cruise departing from Champtoceaux. Seasonal themed cruises include a picnic on the Loire on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at 12:45 p.m., an aperitif tasting with a winegrower, an ornithological cruise with the LPO, and, on Thursdays in July and August, a trip to the Ancenis market.

At La Patache, there is a slipway accessible to boats.

Trails

When visiting a local winegrower, you can taste the Cru Communal Champtoceaux. The Loire à Vélo route can be accessed from the hamlet of Le Cul du Moulin in Champtoceaux.
