Saint-Pardoux-Le-Neuf: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Nature
The Gorges de la Rozeille valley forms deep gorges over a length of around 4 kilometres, creating a strong contrast with the surrounding rural landscape. The designated area of the Gorges de la Rozeille includes Saint-Pardoux-le-Neuf and Moutier-Rozeille. The Gorges de la Rozeille are designated as a “registered site” and overlap with the ZNIEFF “Rozeille Valley” in the municipalities of Saint-Pardoux-le-Neuf and Moutier-Rozeille.
The long-distance GR4 hiking trail also passes through the village: it includes a 15-kilometre stage from Bellegarde-en-Marche to Saint-Pardoux-le-Neuf.
Those who choose Saint-Pardoux-le-Neuf as a travel destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Culture
The Église Saint-Pardoux dates from the 13th century and was restored in the 19th century. It has a nave with two bays and a pointed barrel vault. The north chapel contains the painting “The Giving of the Rosary to Saint Dominic and Saint Catherine of Siena”, created in 1666.
The church’s furnishings include carved corbels. Its former wall belfry was replaced by a wooden bell tower. The historic site of Abbaye Notre-Dame de Bonlieu is located in the wider regional area surrounding Saint-Pardoux-le-Neuf.
Local
The Fête à Saint-Pardoux-le-Neuf features grilled lamb and entertainment. From 4 September 2023 to 31 August 2024, regional bus route 283 served the Saint-Pardoux-le-Neuf – La Croix de La Vedrenne stop.
