In 1839, there were three mills in Villiers-sur-Morin on the left bank of the Grand Morin: Ballé, Guillaume and Rivault. The Moulin Guillaume was originally a cloth mill, became an oil mill in 1650, then an iron mill, and in 1838 became a grain mill again. The Moulin Revault was converted into a chamoiserie in 1900.
