Garches: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The present-day Saint-Louis Church in Garches was built in 1876 by architect Blondel and contractor Tillet on the site of a church dating from 1298.

The Sidney Bechet Cultural Centre has two halls, welcomes visitors year-round except during its summer break, and offers events for the general public, young audiences, as well as film screenings. Every Monday outside the school holidays, conferences are held there at 2:30 p.m.; the Sidney Bechet Cultural Centre also presents exhibitions by established artists.

The Golf de Saint-Cloud complex in Garches was built between 1922 and 1925 according to plans by architect Albert Hébrard. Golf de Saint-Cloud has two 18-hole courses extending across the municipalities of Garches, Rueil-Malmaison and Vaucresson.

Hole no. 8 of the Golf de Saint-Cloud’s Parcours Vert offers a unique view of the Eiffel Tower.

The municipal “Balades urbaines” programme offers walking and cycling routes through Garches; maps are available for download.

The Coteau boisé de Garches is a wooded walking area offering views of the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud and the Fausses-Reposes Forest.
