Issy-Les-Moulineaux: Holiday apartments and houses

The Musée Français de la Carte à Jouer combines the historic Pavillon Conti, which houses the collections on the city’s history, with a nearby modern building dedicated to playing cards. Culture and history

The Musée Français de la Carte à Jouer offers traditional and modern games, magic shows, escape games and art history courses.

The Église Saint-Etienne was built between 1634 and 1645 in the centre of the former medieval village and contains protected works of art, including one of the oldest Romanesque tympana in Île-de-France. Inside are outstanding stained-glass windows from the 19th century and the transition into the 20th century, as well as paintings from the late 19th century.

Le Temps des Cerises is located in former casemates in Fort d’Issy and offers multidisciplinary cultural, recreational, digital and scientific activities. It includes a digital Micro-Folies museum with more than 6,000 works from national institutions and museums today.

The Domaine du séminaire Saint-Sulpice in Issy-les-Moulineaux is partly registered as a historic monument and partly classified as a historic monument; it is under full protection. The estate includes a vaulted passageway dating from around 1599.

The former Hospice des Ménages, now Hôpital Corentin Celton, was built from 1860 to 1863 according to plans by the architect Véra.

The Nymphée is an 18th-century Rocaille pavilion built during the period when the estate belonged to Marguerite de Valois, Queen Margot. It is one of an extremely rare type of structure decorated with mosaics made from shells, pebbles and stones.

The Conservatoire Niedermeyer offers instruction ranging from early music to jazz, and from introductory courses in music and dance to advanced training. The adult department promotes amateur music-making through group activities.

Parks and gardens

Parc de l’Île Saint-Germain is the largest park in Issy-les-Moulineaux. It consists of a series of hilly lawns interrupted by wooded areas and features playgrounds, two dog parks and a pony club.

Parc Saint Jean-Paul II is protected as a historic monument and features a playground, a fitness trail, a pond and extensive lawns for ball games. Fort d’Issy is also home to the 500 m² Jardin japonais d’Ichikawa, created with the support of gardeners from the city of the same name.

The original Fort d’Issy is represented by the impressive entrance on Rue du Fort and the landscaped curtain walls on Chemin du Colonel Arnaud Beltrame; along these features, visitors can walk around the neighbourhood while passing 86 plots of community gardens.

The Issy Guinguette vineyard plot covers 300 m² and produces 200 to 300 bottles of white wine each year. A cycle path runs along the Seine riverfront from the Meudon area and beyond the Issy bridge, above the promenade.

The Jardin des Milles Roses, also called Jardin de la Cour d’Honneur, is a public garden between Rue Guynemer and Parvis Corentin Celton, featuring a rose garden collection and a playground. The park near the Tour aux figures includes themed gardens, including a lavender garden with Mediterranean scents.

Paths and activities

The 2.2-kilometre route Au coeur de l'Ile Saint-Germain passes sculptures and various gardens.
