The Site Nordique de Bois d'Amont offers cross-country skiing, snowshoe hikes, sled rides, excursions with a musher, Nordic-style ski touring and walks on footpaths. Two routes from Bois-d'Amont can be used both with cross-country skis and snowshoes, providing access to the Grande Traversée du Jura.
On the “Les Marais” route, cross-country skiers follow the river and pass the Les Marmousets leisure area below. Les Marmousets offers a secured area for learning to ski in a playful way, as well as a freely accessible toboggan run.
Routes and Nature
The “L’Orbe et le mur frontière” route begins at the Office de Tourisme de Bois-d'Amont and leads to the Swiss border, which is marked by a boundary stone and a border wall. The route is 4.2 kilometres long, very easy and equipped with interpretation stations.
Numerous marked trails for hikes and mountain bike tours run through the Forêt du Risoux. The Forêt du Risoux lies north of Lac des Rousses between Bois-d'Amont, Les Rousses and Bellefontaine and extends into neighbouring Switzerland.
