The Château de Ray-sur-Saône was classified as a historic monument in 2009. It stands on a rocky spur rising approximately 80 m above the village and the Saône. In its park, remains of a medieval surrounding wall, two towers and filled-in moats have been preserved. The château is open to the public and can only be visited as part of a guided tour. The park is free to access and offers an opportunity for a stroll with its successive terraces, exotic trees and panoramic views over the Saône valley.

Those who associate Ray-sur-Saône with the château, the banks of the Saône and the cycle paths may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
