Port-Sur-Saône: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Port-sur-Saône is situated on the banks of the Saône and offers opportunities for nature and river tourism. At the Port de plaisance, license-free houseboats for 2 to 12 people are rented out on the Saône. The Rives de Saône route also passes through the town: it follows a former towpath that has been redesigned for recreational activities and can be walked, cycled or ridden on horseback for nearly 80 kilometres.

Water and Routes

The only branch of the Bief de Port-sur-Saône is approximately two kilometres long and runs along the town of Port-sur-Saône.

Culture and History

The Chapelle Saint-Valère was rebuilt in 1845, deconsecrated in 1996 and subsequently converted into a cultural venue. The Église Saint-Étienne has three naves of equal height and six bays. The Grand Pont of Port-sur-Saône consists of 13 arches. The Pont de Port-sur-Saône was rebuilt between 1750 and 1758 and is still used as a road bridge.

Nature by the River

Next to the marina is the approximately 7-hectare Parc à daims, a woodland park inhabited by several families of fallow deer. The Saône near Port-sur-Saône is home to around 20 protected bird species. It is also suitable for fishing for carp, pike, zander and perch.

Events

The Spectacles du Monde festival has been held every summer for more than 30 years, bringing the cultures of various countries to life.
