Scey-sur-Saône-et-Saint-Albin lies on the banks of the Saône. The 681-metre-long Tunnel de Saint-Albin cuts through a loop in the Saône. It was completed in 1843 and commissioned in 1880 after the final work had been completed. Near Scey-sur-Saône-et-Saint-Albin, the tunnel is classified as a Monument historique.

The Port de plaisance has two pontoons with space for 24 to 40 boats. It is home to a base for renting Pénichettes; boats can also be rented for a relaxing day on the water.

Culture and history

The present-day Église Saint-Martin was built in two phases between 1739 and 1761. It is classified in its entirety as a Monument historique and houses wrought-iron fixtures of significant historical and artistic value.

The remains of the 16th-century Château de Scey-sur-Saône include stables, outbuildings, a washhouse, an entrance pavilion and a temple in the park.

The Tunnel de Saint-Albin grounds include the interpretive trail “La Saône et l’Homme”. A guided tour of the grounds is also offered for the Tunnel de Saint-Albin.

Activities

After the Tunnel de Saint-Albin, the Voie Bleue follows a shared section through the village of Scey-sur-Saône to Ferrières-lès-Scey.

The Centre équestre des Boulingrins is located in the park of the former Château de Scey-sur-Saône and has a large riding arena and an indoor riding hall. It offers introductory and advanced riding lessons, show jumping, Galop exams from levels 1 to 7, courses and participation in competitions.

The Poney-club Les Boulingrins at the Domaine du Parc aux Daims offers riding lessons for adults and children as well as pony taster sessions for children.
