Les Grangettes: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Lac Saint-Point aux Grangettes is a protected area situated on Lac de Saint-Point. It covers 1,018.97 hectares and consists of the lake and its shores in the municipalities of Les Grangettes, Labergement-Sainte-Marie, Malbuisson, Montperreux, Oye-et-Pallet and Saint-Point-Lac.

Nature

Les Grangettes beach on Lac de Saint-Point is one of two developed beaches supervised during the summer. The Ronde des 2 Villages is an easy 5.5 km circular hike lasting approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes and passing through Les Grangettes. Its route leads through forests, fields and villages and offers views of Lac de Saint-Point.

The circular route around Lac de Saint-Point is 23 km long and can be completed on foot. The Tour du Lac Saint-Point mountain biking route also passes through Les Grangettes.

Water

The Base nautique des Grangettes offers canoeing and kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, catamaran sailing, windsurfing, Laser Bug and wing foiling. The services also include equipment hire, private lessons, courses, canoe trips, group activities and full-day multi-activity courses by reservation.

From the Base nautique des Grangettes, a canoe trip leads across Lac de Saint-Point; a walking section leads to the Source Bleue with its winding stream, cascades and legend.

Culture

The Croix des Grangettes, including its base and steps, is protected as a historic monument; it was listed by order of 26 October 2023.

The parish church of Nativité-de-Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Les Grangettes has a choir dating from around 1635 and a nave from the 18th century. According to the inscription, its high altar is said to have been created in 1721 by the vicar Révérend Faivre.

La Pierre qui tourne is considered a remnant of a Druidic cult; according to legend, the stone turns every hundred years on Christmas Eve. The hamlet of Port-Titi on Lac Saint-Point was established at the beginning of the 20th century on the initiative of fishermen from Pontarlier who were looking for huts to store their equipment.
