Culture
The church in La Chenalotte was built between 1624 and 1630 and founded by Jeanne Blessemaille in honour of Saint Urbain.
The history of the Tacot railway is also part of the village: the line was closed on 1 April 1952. The station at Clos de la Vie is the last remaining evidence of the Tacot railway line, which connected Morteau and Trévillers from 1905 to 1952.

La Chenalotte is home to the small stream “Les Belles Seignes”. Four nationally protected butterfly species associated with peat bogs have been recorded in the peat bogs of Bélieu, Noël-Cerneux, Le Bizot, La Chenalotte and Narbief.
