Culture

Cubry’s cultural heritage includes the Château de Bournel with its chapel, the Kitchen Garden Grotto and the Monopteros in the Bois de Châtey. These architectural and garden complexes were classified as historic monuments by decree of 28 August 1989.

The Domaine de Bournel offers a one-hour walk through the French garden, with explanations of the architectural history of the 18th-century château and the 19th-century neo-Gothic château.

Nature

At the Roches de Nans et Bois de Châtel site, contrasting slopes create significantly different microclimates. Plants adapted to shade and moisture, as well as to light, heat and dryness, grow there.

At the Roches de Nans et Bois de Châtel site, there is a trail through natural terrain with little change in elevation; approximately two hours are allowed for the visit.

The Roches de Nans et Bois de Châtel site is crossed by a route through Cubry, Fontenelle-Montby, Nans and Uzelle.

Trails

The GR® de Pays des 7 Rivières is a moderately difficult, 82.2-kilometre, four-day hiking route that passes through Cubry. It runs through varied landscapes of forests and fields.

A footbridge on the GR® de Pays des 7 Rivières in Cubry and Cubrial allows hikers to bypass the stream bed, particularly during heavy rain.

The Grand Tour des Deux Vallées Vertes passes through Cubry. The Les Roches de Nans hike is just over 20 kilometres long and also passes through Cubry.

Cycling

The Bam! Les dômes cycling tour passes through Cubry. After crossing the Étang stream in the Ognon plain, it offers a view of the Château de Bournel.

Gastronomy

The Restaurant de Bournel is located in a vaulted hall of the Château de Bournel and offers refined, flavourful cuisine; a well-stocked wine cellar complements the gastronomic offering.
