Nature and Trails
There is a dedicated hiking map for the Maîche sector in the Pays Horloger. The same sector also contains an extensive network of mountain biking and cycling routes in the Pays Horloger. In Maîche, there is the 5.78-kilometre La Roche de Ruan snowshoeing loop.
Culture and History
Château Montalembert is a fortified house built in the 16th century. On 13 November 1944, it was the setting for a meeting between General de Gaulle and Winston Churchill. Château Montalembert offers one-hour guided tours by appointment. The Église Saint-Pierre can be visited independently all year round.

Markets and Local Specialities
The Foire de Maîche takes place every third Thursday of the month at Place de la Rasse. It traditionally features Gras-doubles and Tête de veau, prepared in the restaurants, cafés, and butcher shops of Maîche. A craft market is also held every Saturday morning on the esplanade in front of Maîche Town Hall.
Events
The Concours national de la race comtoise takes place every year in September in Maîche. The Fête du cheval is an equestrian competition featuring parades of Comtois horses and ponies, as well as races.
