Culture and history
The Church of Santa Maria Assunta, now the parish church of Saint-Barthélémy in Occhiatana, is the former Church of the Assumption and dates from the second quarter of the 17th century. It contains 17th-century frescoes, and its organ is classified as a historic monument. Saint-Barthélémy was rebuilt in 1620 and remodelled in 1627; the church has a three-storey Baroque bell tower with a lantern.
The ruins belong to the Chapel of San Vincensiu, which was built between the 4th and 11th centuries; an ancient tomb was discovered during its excavation. The former chapel of the brotherhood is home to the Association Per l'Animazione d'Ochjatana.
