Geographical Location

Avapessa lies at an altitude of 300 metres between the villages of Cateri and Muro, in an extensive olive grove overlooking the Régino plain. The municipal area extends from the Régino plain to the heights of Capu di Bestia, which reach 804 metres.

Avapessa is 12 km from L’Île-Rousse and 19 km from Calvi; the sea can be reached by car in 15 minutes.

Nature

The Sainte-Marie Church in Avapessa was built in 1618. It has a multi-storey square bell tower and is home to the San Carlu brotherhood. An olive mill can also be visited in Avapessa.
