Nature
The Forêt de Zicavo encompasses the entire plateau and the Forêt de Coscione at an altitude of more than 1,500 metres. The Forêt de Coscione is known for its high-altitude pozzines, namely ponds and peat bogs.
About 1 kilometre outside Zicavo, there is a waterfall at the Camara bridge. A waterfall on the road from Zicavo towards Quenza has pools suitable for swimming in summer.

Hiking trails lead from Zicavo to the Plateau du Coscione and onwards to Mont Incudine. The Plateau du Coscione lies along the new route of the GR20, established in 2016. The GR20 leads from Zicavo to the shepherds' huts at I Croci.

Cross-country skiing is possible in the area of the Forêt de Zicavo, which also includes the Forêt de Coscione.
The tenth stage of the GT20 runs from Ghisoni to Zicavu over approximately 45 kilometres and involves around 1,000 metres of ascent. It offers an opportunity to meet local producers and discover Corsican specialities through the artisan businesses along the Route des Sens.
Culture
The parish church of Saint-Luxor in Zicavo is a neo-Gothic church rebuilt on the site of an older, cramped and dilapidated church building. The Chapel of Saint Peter was built in 1871 at the behest of Ventura and Paolo Leccia; its roof is covered with granite slabs.
The landscape around Zicavo includes several chapels, including one dedicated to San Risoriu.
Local character
Several houses in Zicavo feature remarkable walls made of carefully worked stone. Chestnut trees around Zicavo bear witness to the importance of chestnut flour production.
