The Arcu di a Catena rock formation forms an arch approximately ten metres high. The Castello della Catena was built in Letia on a natural rock arch above two gorges; archaeologists date its construction to the 9th century.
Hiking Trails
The “Randonnee de Letia à Guagno-les-Bains” hike is a variant of the Mare a Mare Nord and also a PR hiking trail. It begins in Letia and ends in Poggiolo; the walking time for the outward and return journey is 4 hours and 30 minutes, with 400 metres of ascent.
Along the “Randonnee de Letia à Guagno-les-Bains”, numerous natural pools in the Liamone invite visitors to rest and cool off. The hike follows the Liamone through a holm oak forest to the bridge at Guagno-les-Bains.
The GR 20 runs through the northern part of the Letia area via Cimatella. The Mare a Mare Nord crosses the entire width of the municipality of Letia.
The “De Renno à Letia” hiking route passes through a chestnut grove along the Mare-a-Mare variant and ends in Letia St-Roch.
