Culture and history

On the village square in Villers-les-Ormes, the Church of Saint-Laurent invites visitors to stop by. It was rebuilt on the foundations of an older building, whose origins may date back to the time of the Capetians. At the end of the 18th century, it stood abandoned, was sold and converted into a barn; at the end of the 19th century, it was restored. In the hamlet of Le Treuillaud, residential buildings from the 15th, 18th and 19th centuries can be seen. Two pétanque courts have been laid out in the garden of the Church of Saint-Laurent on Rue de l'Église.

Hiking

There are five hiking trails in the municipality of Saint-Maur marked “Promenade et Randonnée” (PR). Two of them start at the car park of the event hall in Villers-les-Ormes.

Nature

The Indre Valley within the municipality of Saint-Maur is designated as a Natura 2000 site and as a high-quality urban green corridor with green meadows and shady paths.

Le Domaine de Treuillaud welcomes guests amid woodland, a garden and a swimming pool, and serves breakfast in the veranda. It is five minutes from both exits of the A20 motorway at Exit 12.
