Fléré-la-Rivière: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The long-distance hiking trail GR 46 passes through Fléré-la-Rivière, connecting Artannes with Chateauroux and forming part of the Tours–Toulouse route.

Nature and Trails

Fléré-la-Rivière is part of the Vallée de l’Indre Natura 2000 site. The document “Mon Herbier Fléré la Rivière” is available for discovering the local flora.

The La Pinauderie walking trail is approximately 4.2 km long and starts at the car park by the municipal pond. The Les Chalteries route is an approximately 4.3 km-long walk through the fields. Fishing is permitted at the Étang de Fléré-la-Rivière with the annual permit at no additional charge.

Culture and History

The present-day church, dedicated to Notre-Dame, was extensively restored in the 19th century. The Moulin de la Châtre, a mill dating from the 17th to 18th century, still has its mill wheel. In the west of the commune, the hamlet of Corbet is of architectural interest.

The historic site of Pyramide de Saint-Hubert, the historic site of Abbaye de Beaugerais, and the historic site of Château de Loches are located in the vicinity of Fléré-la-Rivière. Château de Sansac, a château, is also nearby. In the wider region around Fléré-la-Rivière lies Parc de Boussay, a park.
