The Abattoirs Régionaux du Centre stand out with geometric architecture reminiscent of Art Deco. In the rear halls, concrete shell vaults and perforated skylights provide natural lighting and ventilation. The Abattoirs Régionaux du Centre were inaugurated on 14 September 1937.

Culture

The Notre-Dame Church in Aigurande has a fortress-like appearance with its thick buttresses; at the choir there is a machicolated breteche. The 18th-century Chapelle Notre-Dame de La Bouzanne lies near the source of the Bouzanne.

Nature

The facilities visible today at the source of the Bouzanne were rebuilt in 1865 and 1866, with a basin and a stone monument. The spring is dedicated to Notre-Dame-de-Pitié and is visited as a pilgrimage site on the Tuesday of Pentecost. A chestnut grove at the source of the Bouzanne offers pilgrims and visitors a shady place to rest.

The Sentier Nature, Verdure, Bouchures is a three-kilometre-long trail that begins in Aigurande. It passes an old washhouse, a fishpond, woven hedges and other small rural monuments.
