Anché: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Église Saint-Symphorien was listed as a historic monument on 28 May 1926. It includes a 15th-century bell tower built of dressed stone; its rectangular floor plan consists of a nave and choir.

Culture and History

The chapel of the Château des Brétignolles was built in 1507. The Manoir du Bois de Veude in Anché also already had a chapel in the 15th century.

The Château des Brétignolles, together with its outbuildings and park, was listed as a historic monument by decree of 14 September 1949. It is located 1 km east of Anché on the D760, on the left bank of the Vienne between L'Île-Bouchard and Chinon.

Landscape and Wine

The Vienne borders Anché to the north and the Veude to the west. The floodplain along the Vienne in Anché is approximately 1 km wide.

Vines for AOC Chinon are cultivated on sandy soils in the northern third of Anché. Numerous troglodytic shelters were carved into the rock on Anché's limestone plateau.

Sightseeing

The estate is open for visits during the summer season and can only be visited as part of a guided tour lasting approximately 45 minutes. During this tour, visitors see a seigneurial chapel, a medieval tower, and several troglodytic cellars typical of the region.
